All investments involve some level of risk. Equities may fluctuate in value depending on market conditions, while fixed-income securities and Treasury Bills generally provide more stability. Pergamon helps you understand and manage these risks by providing research insights, portfolio diversification strategies, and personalized advice to match your financial goals and risk tolerance. For bonds specifically, investors should also consider interest rate risk and liquidity risk.

Shares represent ownership in a company. When you buy shares, you become a
shareholder and are entitled to benefits such as dividends (if declared) and potential capital gains if the share price rises.

Government securities (such as Treasury Bills and Bonds) are debt instruments issued by the government to raise funds. They provide predictable returns and are generally considered low risk compared to equities.

Dividends are declared by a company’s board of directors and are paid to shareholders who are on record by the book closure date. The dividend announcement usually specifies the payment date.

Dividends from shares and interest from bonds are credited directly to your registered bank account or mobile money account. You will receive a notification once payments are processed.
