FAQs About Pergamon's KPC IPO

The KPC IPO is a public offer of shares in Kenya Pipeline Company, allowing investors to buy shares in one of Kenya’s most strategic national and regional petroleum infrastructure companies. KPC plays a central role in the transportation and storage of petroleum products, supporting Kenya’s energy security and regional fuel supply chain.

Both individual and institutional investors are eligible to apply. Individual investors may apply via USSD (*483*816#) or online, while institutional investors apply through the online portal at kpcipo.e-offer.app.

Each share is priced at KES 9.00. The minimum application is 100 shares, meaning the minimum investment is KES 900. IPO applications are not subject to brokerage commission, though standard transaction or payment processing charges may apply depending on the payment method used.

You can apply in two ways:

  • Via USSD by dialing *483*816# from your registered Kenyan mobile number
  • Online through kpcipo.e-offer.app

During the application process, select Pergamon Investment Bank as your broker to ensure your account and support are linked to Pergamon.

Yes. A valid Central Depository System (CDS) account is required to hold your shares. Your allocated shares will be credited to your CDS account after the offer closes and allocation is completed.

If you don’t have a CDS account, Pergamon Investment Bank can assist you to open one. Payments can be made via M-Pesa for both USSD and online applications. Online applications also support bank transfer, particularly for larger investments.

When prompted in the USSD or online application process, choose Pergamon Investment Bank from the list of brokers to ensure Pergamon provides support for your application and account.

Once you submit your application and make payment, you will receive an SMS and or email confirmation. After the offer closes, shares will be allocated and credited to your CDS account. You will be notified of your final allocation.

If demand exceeds the number of shares available, the IPO will be oversubscribed. In this case, you may receive a partial allocation. Any excess funds paid will be refunded in line with the IPO rules and timelines.

The IPO closes on 19 February 2026. The shares are expected to be listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) on 9 March 2026. From this date, you will be able to trade your shares or hold them for long-term investment.

KPC has a history of profitability and dividend payments. As a listed company, future dividends will depend on company performance, cash flow, and board decisions.

Investors may benefit from dividend income and potential capital appreciation over time. Returns are not guaranteed and will depend on company performance and market conditions.
