Daily Market Brief

Stocks prices were up 0.6% on the first trading day of September 2025 with NSE 20 stocks gaining te most with a 1.0% average gain. NSE 10 and NSE 25 gained 0.6% and 0.5%, respectively.

Shares traded were dropped 42.3% from 56.29Mn to 32.50Mn shares to pull down the day’s turnover 48.1% down to KES 668.57Mn from a high of KES 1,288.34MN transacted last Friday. KCB Group, Safaricom and Equity Group were the day’s focus.

Foreign activity nearly declined from 37.7% to 35.6% with a net foreign outflow of KES 53.37Mn compared to la foreign inflow of KES 242.12Mn of Friday last week.

Secondary bonds value traded declined 9.1% from KES 9.32Bn to KES 8.47Bn with the August reopening of IFB1/2022/19 emerging the day’s top mover.

The primary auction for SDB1/2011/030(15.5-years) of 12.000% coupon is due on Wednesday, 3rd September 2025. Find our pre-auction note earlier shared.
