Daily Market Brief
Stock prices slightly dropped by 0.7% as investors continue cashing in on capital gains. NSE 20 contracted by 1.o% followed by NSE 10 and NSE 25 counters with drops of 0.5% and 0.6% respectively. Banks declined by 0.5% on average.
Shares traded sunk further from 11.07Mn to 9.35Mn shares constituting to a drop in the day’s turnover from KES 281.58Mn to KES 168.43Mn. Market activity was majorly in the banking and telecommunication sector which had KES 81.89Mn and KES 38.19Mn in turnover.
Safaricom was the top mover of the day with KES 38.19Mn in turnover after 1.35 shares changed hands. KenGen and Equity Group followed with KES 22.26Mn and KES 19.59Mn in turnover.
Foreign activity spiked to 20.7% while net foreign inflows shrunk from KES 21.42Mn to KES 14.77Mn.
Secondary bonds’ turnover more than doubled from KES6.08Bn to KES 14.29Bn despite the primary auction that took place today, Wednesday 3rd December 2025. FXD2/2018/10yr was the most traded paper with a turnover of KES 5.7Bn as its yield dropped from 10.7750% to 10.7325%.
