On the 3rd of October 2025, NSE 20 rose by 0.9% followed by a drop in NSE 25 and NSE 10 counters by 0.1% and 0.2% respectively. Overall the market was down 0.3%. However, week on week the market prices increased by 0.3%
Shares traded declined by 10.1 % from 22.81Mn to 20.50Mn shares to increase the day’s turnover by 9.0% from KES 443.61 to KES483.55.
KCB Group was the top mover of the day with a turnover of KES of 99.37Mn followed by Williamson and Kenya Power.
Foreign activity declined from 38.9% to 23.0% with a drop in net foreign inflows from KES 256.78Mn to KES126.11Mn, occasioned by heavy foreign sales.
Secondary bonds value traded still dipped for the fifth consecutive trading day at 47.6% from KES 5.470.05Bn to KES 2.864Bn still impacted by the re-opened FXD1/2018/015 (7.7 years) of 12.65% coupon and FXD1/2021/020 (15.9-years) of 13.444% coupon for October’s primary auction, set for 15th October 2025.
The primary auction for FXD1/2018/015 and FXD1/2021/020 is scheduled for 15th October for a value payment on 21st October 2025.
