Daily Market Brief

Equities prices were up 1.7% on Friday, 27th June 2025, as market activities also edged up, supported by end of quarter transactions. NSE 20 gained the most at 2.3% followed by NSE 10 and NSE 25 with gains of 1.8% each. Week on week, the prices were up 4.7%.

Shares traded improved 24.5% up from 23.25Mn to 28.95Mn shares, to push the day’s value trade 7.6% up to KES 500.32Mn. KCB Group emerged the day’s top mover with KES 182.80Mn from 3.93Mn shares followed by Kengen with KES 64.63Mn of 9.45Mn shares.

Average foreign activity declined to 21.3% with a net foreign inflow of KES 65.87Mn compared to an average of 53.6% of KES 51.68Mn net foreign inflow traded on Thursday.

The secondary bonds trading value traded fell for the second trading day to trade KES 4.93Bn compared to KES 13.84Bn traded the day before, on generally low market activities.
