Daily Market Brief
Stocks were marginally up by 0.4% on the last trading day of November 2025, with major upticks on NSE 20 counters. NSE 20 gained 1.1% followed by NSE 10 and NSE 25 with 0.3% and 0.2% respectively.
Shares traded more than doubled from 11.40Mn to 26.48Mn shares to almost triple the day’s turnover from KES 230.84Mn to KES 611.04Mn.
KCB Group maintained the top mover position with KES 219.46Mn from 3.74Mn shares. Safaricom came second with a turnover of KES 181.53Mn while Absa Bank came 3rd with KES 51.47Mn in turnover.
Foreign activity further shrunk to 11.5% with net foreign outflows growing from KES 16.96Mn net inflows to KES 16.96Mn. Net foreign inflows happened on DTBK while KCB Group and Stan-chart recorded net foreign outflows.
Secondary bonds’ turnover contracted by 56.5% to KES 5.25Bn with a decline of 8.8% in total number of deals from 170 to 155 made during the day .FXD1/2016/10yr was the most traded today with a turnover of KES 1.00Bn due to a drop in its yield from 9.4833% to 9.1000%.
The Central Bank of Kenya re-opened two papers, SDB1/2011/030 (15.2-years, 12.000% coupon) and FXD1/2021/025 (20.4-years, 13.9240% coupon) for December’s primary auction targeting KES 40Bn. The auction date and value payment dates are set for 3rd and 8th December 2025, respectively.
